The decision to pursue psychology rather than following directly in her father’s artistic footsteps reveals something essential about Safaryan’s character: a deep curiosity about the mechanisms underlying human experience. Her master’s degree in Psychology, followed by a second master’s in Public Management, equipped her with analytical tools that would later prove invaluable in her artistic practice.

“I started using this unconventional and fragile medium because it resembles the fragility of life. I can show through my works how beautiful and ephemeral that fragility can be.”

For me, this moment arrives when I hold an eggshell, feeling its weight—or rather, its weightlessness—against my palm, light as air, yet bearing the metaphysical weight of creation. In that moment, I do not create – I listen.

My work has been an ongoing inquiry into what transpires when you choose the most vulnerable canvas imaginable and ask it to carry the weight of human experience, emotion, and beauty. What began as an exploration became a philosophy – one that sees fragility as an essential source of strength and profound truth.
