Seda Saar is a Los Angeles–based artist whose multidisciplinary practice explores the relationship between architecture, light, and perception. Born in Tehran and raised in London, she earned a degree in Interior Architecture before moving to California, where she spent more than two decades designing immersive environments for Disney, Universal Studios, and other internationally recognized entertainment and cultural projects.
Her background in architecture and spatial design informs a practice that transforms familiar structures into studies of geometry, reflection, and changing light. Working across painting, sculpture, and installation, Saar combines traditional drawing with contemporary digital processes and hand-applied media to investigate how light shapes our experience of space.
Saar’s work has been exhibited nationally and internationally and is held in public and private collections, including WNDR Museum (Chicago), the City of Malibu, the City of Toronto, the City of Montreal, the Nagasaki Prefectural Museum of Art, and the Yerevan Modern Art Museum.
She lives and works in Malibu, California.

Spacelines
Spacelines is an ongoing series exploring Southern California’s iconic architecture
through the changing qualities of light. Rather than documenting buildings, I reinterpret them—reconstructing their forms through geometry, reflection, perspective, and abstraction to reveal new spatial experiences.
